What's going on

We have come to the end of Daylight Saving Time for another year.  Darkness will fall much earlier on our seas and our mountains and our city streets.

All of this thinking about things dark and light reminded me of one of my favorite quotes from the great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness;  only light can do that.  Hate cannot drive out hate;  only love can do that.”

Today, drive out some hate with pure,  powerful  love.  We’ll all be the better for it. :)

They say April is the cruelest month.  Some poet write that.  But what about November?  How ’bout we make it the kindest month?

“Be kind whenever possible.  It is always possible.”

Wow—just read this quote for the first time, and it really sums things up in a nutshell!  Here’s Buddhah’s take on “the greatest love of all.”  See if it resonates with you.

“You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere.

You  yourself, as much as anybody  in the entire universe deserve your love and affection.”

Remember this the next time you feel tempted to get down on yourself.  Buddhah knows best!
