What's going on

When you think of Audrey Hepburn, you think of a glamorous movie star and a legendary fashion icon. But you may not realize the very real struggles she and her family went through during World War II, including hunger, cruelty, and poverty.

Audrey came out of these struggles to accomplish so much and to do so much good for others through her decades of work as a U.N.I.C.E.F. World Ambassador, which she considered her life’s greatest role.

“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”

–Audrey Hepburn

This is why we are still madly in love with you, Audrey!

I came across this lovely quote today at the bottom of a friend’s email and liked it so much I wanted to share it with you.

“Never look down on anybody, unless you’re helping them up.”

So nice, isn’t it?  I wish I could tell you who wrote it, but there wa sno author attached to the quote.

If every kid in school and every adult were to live by this quote…what a world!

No one’s family is absolutely perfect in every way. But there is absolute beauty in every single family if you only recognize it.

“The family is one of nature’s masterpieces.”

George Santayana
